soft opening for t’mates!
i was frustrated because it took about 30 minutes to find the place because the address was incorrect on yelp (wrong zip code!). they did not even have a phone number on their yelp page?!
we ordered a peach lychee green tea with lychee coconut jelly (4/5), strawberry lychee green tea with lychee coconut jelly (3/5), and green tea creama with honey boba (1/5).
the boba was too soft and not chewy.
i thought the drinks were mostly good (similar to tpumps), with the exception of the jasmine creama- it was bland, definitely would NOT try it again. even though their boba wasn’t especially great, their lychee coconut jelly made up for it.
i cut them some slack since it is a soft opening. i thought they did a pretty nice job with the place (interior is cute and minimal). hopefully, they’ll improve once they officially open.
oh, and the workers were kind! they let us sample their matcha tea and toppings (thank god cause their boba was just bad).

Track Name: FROAKIE NO
Charda Gregory abducted, humiliated, violated, restrained, scalped and tortured.
If this were reversed, with black police officers who were sworn to uphold peace and justice but instead were documented victimizing a white woman (who was already a victim), this news would have trumped the Olympics!
Truncated version: drugged at a party, abducted to a motel, wakes up during unwanted sexual violation in a motel room full of strangers, fights like hell to escape, motel employee calls the authorities, she gets arrested for destroying motel property and it just gets worst from there.
Every officer who participated in it and even those who witnessed it and did nothing should be punished but instead they just fired the woman?
No rape kit, no police report on the people inside the motel room, no investigation of her claims, no accountability for missing motel entry records, no video from the motel but she gets detained for fourteen days?
(Btw, when did your tax dollars begin purchasing Abu Ghraib type water boarding chairs?)
The most important photo I’ve seen this entire year
